Frequent Questions
Do you take reservations?
No — We offer seating on a first come, first served basis, because we are a bar and can not accurately predict how long a party will occupy a table.
Is there a dress code?
No dress code. All are welcomed as long as you are wearing the basic shirt, pants and footwear.
What if we have a large party?
We recommend arriving earlier in the evening in order to get a table to accommodate your larger party.
Do you allow pets in your establishment?
Well-behaved pets are allowed (on a leash) on our patio, but we do not allow pets inside our building. Registered Service Animals are allowed.
Is there a line to get in every night?
There is not. Though seating can be very limited on weekend evenings.
Can I come in if I'm under 21?
We welcome all ages until 8pm. After 8pm, only those 21 and over are allowed.
Do you have vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options?
We can only accommodate vegetarian options at this time.
I had a drink there that doesn't appear on the menu anymore. Can I still get it?
Most of the time the answer is yes. However, there are a few we cannot make exactly the same, because of certain ingredients' unavailability.
Is there ADA Access?
Yes!
Do you book live music?
We no longer book live musical acts. We primarily host Karaoke on the weekends.
When is karaoke?
Every Friday and Saturday night. Starts at 9pm.
Do you book private parties or events?
We currently DO NOT book private parties or events at The Whisk(e)y itself — but our sister venue Escondido is available to rent. See Private Events.
Do you have a phone number I can call?
Not for the bar itself. The number (970) 695-9932 is the Guide: call it and it asks the same taste questions as the finder, then tells you a pour and the order code to give your bartender. It can also tell you our hours, where to park, and the age policy. It can't see what's on the shelf tonight, so your bartender confirms when you get here. For anything else, please inquire at info@thewhiskeyfc.com.
Can I get a recommendation without coming in?
Yes, two ways. Use the finder here on the site, or call the Guide at (970) 695-9932 and answer the questions out loud. Both ask the same four questions and end with an order code you can hand to your bartender.
Is it whisky or whiskey?
Yes. Scotland and Japan spell it whisky; Ireland and America spell it whiskey. Our back bar pours both, with Talisker and Nikka on one side of the argument and Jameson and Angel's Envy on the other. Hence the parentheses.
